MS-TCDC: National Development Strategies and Policies
MS-TCDC is conducting a one-week course on National Development Strategies and Policies from 21-25 July 2014 in Arusha, Tanzania.
Course Content:
Explain National development strategies, Medium Term Expenditure Frameworks and Sectoral/ multi-sectoral strategies;
Explain rational of each national strategy;
Relate each NDS to the United Nations Millennium Development Goals;
Develop model strategies for participatory development;
Devise strategies for equitable redistribution and social protection at various governance levels;
Explain process of formulation of national development strategies (NDS);
Elaborate on participatory process of NDS;
Explain the M&E framework for each NDS;
Critically evaluate each ND’s policy; and
Prepare summary overview of selected NDS5.
The course is aimed at civil society activists, government planners, policy analysts and advocacy managers. Persons with disabilities, people living with HIV/AIDS, womens’ rights, youth rights and human rights activists working with minority groups and special interest groups.
Fees:
Single room - US$695;
Shared Double room - US$ 585; and
Commuters - US$ 390
Note that fees include tuition and full board accommodation.
