Improving the prominence of child rights in poverty reduction strategies
This article focuses on how to place children's rights on the Poverty Reduction Strategy (PRS)agenda. ODI and UNICEF have been working to address these concerns. This article highlights how this has been done to date. The discussion includes: alignment between poverty and rights discourses, analysis of the PRS process, visibility of child rights within PRS planning process and NDP documents, translation of commitments into programmes and tools for child rights integration.
